We are sorry for the delay in announcing the winners and judges of this year's fiction and poetry prizes. They will be announced by May 5, 2006. 2005Crazyhorse Prize Winners and Judges

Thank you again if you entered the Crazyhorse Prizes and subscribed to Crazyhorse through them. We hope you enjoy your year’s subscription and know that entering/subscribing helps to support Crazyhorse’s non-profit mission of publishing the entire spectrum of today’s fiction, essays, and poetry—from the mainstream to the avant-garde, from the established to the undiscovered writer.

This year’s entries to the prizes were, once again, crazily competitive, with over 300 fiction entries and over 400 poetry entries. Fiction judge T. M. McNally and poetry judge Albert Goldbarth, after much deliberation, chose these winners for the 2005 Crazyhorse Fiction Prize and the Lynda Hull Memorial Poetry Prize.

The two prize winners will each receive $1000 and the winning story and poem will be published in Crazyhorse 68, due out Nov. 1, 2005.
